Cozumel question

We will be in Cozumel in 12 days (yahooo!) and was wondering which is the better excursion..
The Playa Mia Deluxe Beach Break or the Passion Island Escape?

Just 2 adults will be there...don't want to spend too much time traveling to the beach though.

We've done both. While the Passion Island tour is unique, it takes a long time to get there and then return. It easily eats up 90 minutes of the tour. You take a bus ride of around 30 minutes and then have to board small boats for another 10 minutes or so to get there. But, it is a beautiful beach. Would I go again? No. Been there and done that.

We really like Playa Mia. We've been going there since it was known as Playa Sol. Don't book the tour for this. Just grab a taxi at the pier and tell them Playa Mia. You can select an admission choice at the entrance to the beach. They have basic admission all the way up to one that has open bar, lunch, and some other stuff. Frankly the basic admission is the best deal, and just pay as you go for drinks and food. There are always cabs waiting at the entrance to take people back to the piers or to town.

We were just there in October and Carlos and Charlies has opened a new beach club, complete with parasailing, beach massages, pharmacy, great food and fun atmosphere with many beach activities. I would definitely recommend checking it out if you have the time. We enjoyed it so much that it may be our only stop on our next visit there!

Thanks for your help...it is so difficult to plan something when you haven't done it before.

The last time we were in Cozumel we did the Snuba excursion. Won't do that again...it freaked me out! Too confining and I don't get claustrophobic? Go figure!

Just thought we would relax on the beach this time...better than the 20-30 degree weather here in Ga.

The Carlos and Charlie's sounds fun! We were on Cozumel on Oct. 31 and kept seeing the road signs while going to Paradise Beach. I kept thinking the signs were wrong for the miles to the restaurant and bar! Now this explains it!

kskelley40, You might also consider Chankanaab Park if you have never been there. It does have a higher admission price though.

I was in cozumel in recently and I took an atv excursion it was really fun. I heard something about some other excursions that are offered through the same company such as deep sea fishing, and a day cruise on a luxury yacht. I was wondering if anyone has tried these other excursions and if anyone has any suggestions or experience as to which is better.

We too are traveling to cozumel and saw the Playa Mia excursion.
Dave- You mnetioned not to book an excursion through the ship but to grab a taxi. If we choose that option how much should we expect to pay for a taxi?
