Just got back from my cruise to the Eastern Carribean. Used shoretrips.com to book a horseback ride/Orient beach shore excursion. Had to wait over 1/2 hour in hot sun for shuttle to pick us up at pier - it had gotten a flat tire!!
There where 8 of us waiting and shuttle took us through this not so scenic area to BaySide stables which is right near butterfly farm. I have to say I could have skipped the horseback riding - way to hot at 11am and you only get this short time walking horses along the beach. It was not that nice an area to ride the horses. Took awhile for shuttle to pick us up to go to beach - but Orient Beach was great - crowded but alot of fun. We sat on the Bikini beach side but walked down to the nude side. It definitely was an experience - completely nude people. If you want to avoid this area do not go by the area that has rocks separating beach areas.
Beach was great - alot of areas to get a cheap drink or beer - avoid Bikini Beach bar - I would say that was the most expensive for drinks.
My sister did the Kayak tour that morning using the boat's excursion (Explorer of the Seas) and enjoyed that.
Had driver pick us up from beach - he actually found us on the beach and for a buck less a person than a taxi would cost took the rest of our family members that met us at the beach back to the ship. Got a much nicer ride back to the pier.
