BEWARE OF TAXI SCAM IN JAMAICA

Many may know this, but just had friends return from this location and got scammed by the taxi drivers. When the taxis pick you up they tell you that the price is for a "round trip". What they don't tell you is that you have to find the SAME driver to get the "round trip"!!

Yes, beware of Jamaica!! It is a beautiful country, though the people live in much poverty and are constantly attempting to sell drugs and get money from people in various ways. After touring Dunn's River Falls, my husband was approached to go with a man who wanted to sell drugs to him. Be very careful in this beautiful country. Looks can be deceiving : ) !

If you are going to negotiate a round trip price with a taxi driver you do not pay him until the end. Never pay him upfront. That way you assure he will come back at the time you tell him to.

Same thing happened to us in Freeport Nassau, That was our first cruise several years ago and we didn't know any better. Happens more than people realize I think.... Just remember NO ROUND TRIPS......
