San Juan, PR - Exursions/ best thing to do there

Cruising in Dec. 13th 2008 and looking for some suggestions - We are there from 2:30 - 10:00 pm.

Aplayerr--If it is your first time to San Juan a tour of old and new San Juan is interesting. For nature lovers and if you want to see the countryside-visit El Junque rain forrest.. Shopping in San Juan,near the pier is a lot of fun and makes for an interesting afternoon!

Thanks Billy, yes this is our first time to San Juan. Also St. Thomas and St. Maartin. So many options and just tring to weed through to make the most of the day.

How's the casinos there?

Aplayer--We haven't done the casino's in San Juan but have had luck in St. Martin some time back. Gambling on board ship has been luckier for us than most shore based facilities. (I just hit $50. on a penny machine last night at the Mohegan Sun Casino in CT)-I pocketed the winnings and plan to invest aboard the NCL Dawn in 2 weeks! (Why Noy? It's safer than the stock market these days!

There are some great tours of St. Thomas and if you're a beachnik-Meegan's Bay is a great beach for first timers.

El Morro is a nice excursion....take a cab for about $4 or you can walk depending on where the ship docks.....Happy Cruising...
