Need Help w Car Rentals

We are cruising out of San Juan on Adventure of the Seas and will want to rent a minivan or full size SUV on Aruba, Curacao, St Maarten, St Thomas and possibly St John.

If you have any advice or can recommend a company close to the pier we wld be grateful.

We just got back from that cruise. You'll have a great time! I only know that in for St. Thomas you had better rent the car now and not wait until you get there. There were none left. If you leave the pier/shopping area, there is an Avis and a Budget right across the street. There may be more but those are the ones I remember. When we got there there were no cars available and taxis are very expensive. I don't know about the other islands.

In St.Thomas we have always used "Henry's island Adventures" to tour the island, sightsee, etc.... complete pkg is approx $25 pp and is well worth it. In St Maarten, we've rented cars every time without reservation. There is a rental car plaza at the right of the pier and the different companies will fight for your business! Pit one against the other and you'll not only have fun but get a great deal. I've never rented a car in St Thomas because shuttles/taxi trucks are so plentiful and parking can be awful.
