Keywest - looking for a beach

I need to find a pool or beach in Key West?
I'm not into all the shopping or bars.

There's a public beach in Key West, but it's not that great and is a distance from Old Town. I'd check out the beach at the Pier House. I think they still sell a day pass that lets you use their facilities. Their food and drink is very good even if it's a tad pricey.
