What to do? anyone been?
|
Seaquarium is a must. Any diving or snorkeling an absolute http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif
This is a great port! |
As well as the snorkeling, the Curacoa factory tour is very interesting. I love the shops near where you dock. They even let you barter. The bridge is so neat. I really enjoyed touring the island by cab as well. The people are friendly and I think it's a fun island.

What do they make in the factory?
|
They make Curacao, it's a liquor. I know y'all don't drink, but it's an interesting tour on how they make it. We haven't been to beaches there, only on snorkels and the water was very clear. I took a tour of the island years ago. It's not totally flat, but it's not like Grenada or St. Lucia with a lot of hills. I like Curacao better than Aruba, but like Bonaire a little more because there's less population. Curacao is an island with Dutch influence, friendly people, good shopping, and colorful buildings. I think y'all will enjoy visiting there.

It all makes sense now.....
I think I will pass on the factory, but an island tour seems very interesting. |
I think they make Amstel beer as well http://images7.fotki.com/v157/photos...xthumbs-vi.gif
To me it is an oddity, it is like a desert in the caribbean. They make their own water. |
Sorry to double post, but I forgot to say that Penny is so right about the people being friendly. The folks that live and work at the beautiful pastel row houses at the pier use to come out and wave when the ship leaves. That is one fantastic photo opp!
