Taking Caribbean Princess in March to Antigua, Tortola, St. Lucia, barbados islands and also St. Thomas (been to st. thomas before)any advice on things to definitely see and do on above islands. Have 6 people 2 parents 4 teens, traveling, not looking to spend a fortune so we have to pick and choose on how much we can do on each island. Thanks

Antigua great beaches. I walked away from the pier and asked a cab driver to bring me to a quiet beach, and he did. The cost was 24.00 return he picked us up as well. Also 5.00 for beach chairs.
Tortola I again walked away from the pier and did an Island Tour for $20.00. Brand new Ford truck about 10 people on the tour. It was a great tour and guide. It was about3 hours when it was done everyone gave the guide an additional $5.00 each. The tour is well worth it. Beautiful Island.

The rest St Thomas shop til you drop, and a great beach near by as well.

barbados, sorry I scuba dive there.

Hope this helps.

Hi candi Jeza, welcome to Cruise-Chat. What do you like to do? We normally do snorkeling. The last trip to Antigua, we negotiated a tour with a vendor. He took us to Shirley Heights, the Harbour, and then to a nice beach with a bar/restaurant and picked us up at a set up time for $25/pp. We had a nice bus and about 10 couples. Tortola we did 2 or 3 snorkel trips there, all of them went over to Norman's Island area for snorkeling. Great water, really nice snorkeling. We also had a driver take us on a tour of the island for $20. He took us to a restaurant that overlooked where the Atlantic and Caribbean met, absolutely breath-taking views, toured a bit of the island then took us to a beach on the northeast corner and showed us where Jimmy Buffet wrote Cheeseburger in Paradise. Barbados, we do the Tiami Catamarans sail and snorkel. The last trip we took a cab to a beach about 1 mile south of Folkstone Underwater Marine Park, we snorkeled up to the park from where we were and had a great day. It was much less expensive taking the excursions through the ship. They charged me $95/each way for the cab fare. St. Thomas we always go over to St. John and go to Trunk Bay. Hope this helps a bit.

Antigua's Dickenson Bay was my favorite beach to date on five cruises. Based on recommendations from this board, we had the cab take us to Tony's Watersports and ate there and got a thatched umbrella to sit beneath. Gorgeous.

I found Tortola beautiful but pretty dull. We had a cabbie take us on a tour but everything that we saw was pretty rural.

In Barbados, we paid for a day pass to use the Barbados Hilton's pool and beach. I believe it was $50 per person. No food included, though.
