Shopping in St. Thomas? vs. St. Maarten

I've never visited St. Thomas but will be there in March. Is the shopping siliar to St. Maarten?

In particular, can you buy "brand-like" products? (ie: Vuitton, Sean Jean, etc etc. cheap cheap cheap...maybe not the real thing- if ya know what I mean)

I found the shopping beter in St Maarten. Especially the jewelry. St Thomas was more expensive, however, the booze prices were pretty good.

I find St. Maarten slightly up market from St. Thomas. Both are good for shopping (assuming you mean for name brand goods -- I don't have any experience with copies or no-name goods in these ports)...
