Grand Turks

Can anyone tell me about Grand Turks and where the ship docks?

The port looks brand new, there are some nice shops at the terminal. The snorkeling there was great. We did an excursion through the ship. We had 2 stops and each was about an hour. The first was some wonderful coral and the second was for tropical fish and one resident barracuda. We didn't tour the island when we were there, but it looked very clean and the locals were very friendly and not pushy. I hope you enjoy your time there as much as we did.

I believe the ships dock right in Provo....the Turks are basically like the Bahamas just a whole lot more upscale. The beaches are incredible and the snorkling and diving are great. Several really good restaurants.

Sorry, Daddyx2 - the ship will dock at the new (open only one year) cruise ship center, built by Carnival. There is a Margarittaville restaurant/bar with a pool and some shops at the center. It is also the place to meet your excursions, rent a cab or car. When we were there in October, the cab ride to the little town was $5 each. There is a main street, a small musuem which we didn't go into, as it was $10pp, and we didn't want to spend the money after spending $10 to get to the town... There is a beach set up next to the pier with lounge chairs and umbrellas if you prefer ocean to the pool at Margarittaville. Not much else happening yet - - although there are signs of development.
