Labadee?

We're not booked on the Mariner until next year but I was curious about what we have to expect/look forward to in Labadee. I haven't heard anything, good or bad, about the location so was just curious about what others thought of a visit there!

We were there last June, 2006. I thought it was great for fun in the sun. We did a speedboat tour around labadee. We booked it through RCCL. It was alot of fun, if you like fast boats. They took us around the coast of the island, saw a ship that was ran aground, and typical coastal "villages" from the boat. I would do it again. They also let us take turns driving the boat, if we wanted too. I don't know if they still do this. I did hear a helicopter flying over, I looked up to see a huge military helicopter with the word "united nations" spelled across it. That was a brutal reminder of how the rest of the island is. It is a nice port for relaxing and watersports I thought. Lil' Lori

I was there a couple of weeks ago. It's my favorite stop. I think it's a little paradise. I'm surprised you haven't heard anything about Labadee. I hear a lot of good things about it. Now they even added a zipline.

We were there in March and it's a very nice place to just relax.....The ship will supply a very nice barbeque....there is some native shopping but can get very pushy....don't forget to walk out to the very end of the area...nice picture taking and see the Devil's Breath or is it Dragon's Breath.....?? Anyway, a great day of relaxing in the sun and surf....or you can rent the wave runners....they were building an arial ride but it was done when I was there...
Just a relaxing day...Enjoy it..

Every time we've been to Labadee that neat looking Dragon's Breath Pub has not been used. Do they ever use it?

Yes dave it gets used but probably not as much as it should because it is so far off the beaten path. We had a beer ther before we went to the dragon's breath rocks.

I was here in april it was a nice place to relax and they do have jet skis to rent and if you go snorkeling they do require you to rent a vest that cost 6.00 its for your own safety you just give them your room card and they bill you. the barbaque was great. the market place the natives were very pushy was a bit of a turn off. but yes a beautiful place to relax. enjoy
