Hi Bub,

You can walk around the the Atlantis resort and casino for free but if you want to see the aquarium there is a charge. The aquarium is nice but not worth the money if you ask me.

Cabbage Beach is a short walk down from Atlantis or you can just take a taxi there from the cruise port. You can rent lounge chairs $10 for the day, we got 2 for $15. There was also a guy selling rum punch served in a real coconut. It was $10 for all you could drink. What a deal.

We love Cabbage Beach, very relaxing and a lot of fun. Hope this helps.

Thanks 29dawgs,

Appreciate the information! Can you remember the price to visit the aquarium? Is there anything else we should know about Cabbage beach? I assume you bring a beach towel from the ship, correct? Hope you have a chance to respond.

Thanks again,
Bub

We were there in 2005, loved the aquarium. At that time there was no charge unless you wanted the self guided tape. In my opinion, it was worth walking around, they have some amazing fish and really large stingrays..

Hi Bub,

It was almost 5 years ago when we visited the aquarium and we did booked an excursion through the ship. I think it was around $40 per person but not sure. De&Rich are probably correct. Always better to go on your own and not through the ship.

As for Cabbage Beach, we were there this past October. We got a cab for $3 per person and went straight there. Bring your towel from the ship and you can sit on it or rent a chair. They also have jet ski rentals and bannana boat rides if you are interested. We had such a good time here that we are going back for Thanksgiving.

I would take a cab to Atlantis first, look around then walk to Cabbage Beach. You can catch a cab back to the ship from there. Hope this helps.

The last time I was at the Atlantis, the cost of the tour inside the hotel was around $20.00 and really wasn't that great....You can see a lot of the aquarium for free....we spent the day just walking around and sitting in the hotel...The prices for food is VERY expensive there, but there is a casino that you can drop a few bucks in....it was a nice way to spend a few hours....the cab ride was $4 each way...and the shopping downtown was a good way to spend the rest of our time there...and there is a nice city park that you can sit and people watch...They are building a second hotel and it's probably finished by now....The Atlantis is an amazing place....Enjoy your time there..

Hi Everyone,
We're leaving in 4 days, our last stop is Nassau...I've already heard from multiple people that Nassau is not the best port...I just called Atlantis on my own as I will not pay the prices RCL wants for their excursions....if you want a day pass which includes full use of all of their pools, waterslides, aquariums, beach etc...the cost is $105 per person and $75.00 for ages 4 thru 12.
Two weeks ago I also checked with the Breezes resort...the RCL excursion is $90 for 4 hours. Taking a cab directly to Breezes and paying them direct is only $60 per person from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
I'm torn, as I want to see Atlantis...but am also looking forward to relaxing by a pool...
Guess I'll decide as the week wears on.
You CAN however, just go to Atlants to see it for free...to use the pool and such, is where you would need to purchase the day pass.
Regards to all!

FOUR MORE DAYS...WHOO HOO!!

Rum Punch.... use the pool on the ship.... take the water taxi to Atlantis, walk through the aquarium, stay out of the straw market..... not a nice place.... Sr. Frogs is good, it is on the water and has a good view. No Nassau is not the greatest port, but any port is what you make of it... enjoy......De

When you first get into Nassau, be ready to take some pictures....you will pass by a little lighthouse...if you time it right, you get the lighthouse with the Atlantis Hotel in the background....I framed one of the pictures and it's great...plus there should be 3 or 4 other ships in port and it makes a great picture...as you enter the harbor, you will be amazed on how narrow the entrance is and the captains of all the ships get thru without blinking an eye...
Happy Cruising...
