Cozumel

What is the latest on the pier situation in Cozumel? We are on 2/10/07 cruise and I'm wondering when they will have the piers back up.

Anyone done deep sea fishing on their own in Cozumel and if there is anyone you would recommend.

The Punta Logasta Pier is 100% again. The international pier is still under -reconstruction but they let one ship at a time dock there.

Depending on how many ships are in port that day, you may or may not need to tender.

Can't help you with the deep sea fishing... sounds like a great time though...

I am not sure of the pier names. But the one that Carnival use to port at that had the walk thru stores. Carnival tenders there now, and as Oct. 31st. did not see any construction whatsoever.

I could not believe the lack of progress a year later! There was not even any construction equipment in place. The square and mall type place had been re-built. But the pier was non existent, except for some rusty bars sticking out from the base and some old pilings. It was sad.
