What are suggested excursions in Belize for husband, wife and 18 year old daughter? We are considering either the Monster Jungle Buggy excursion or cave-tubing. Is it easy to get in the river for tubing?

REally close friends just got back and said the tubing was a must-do. They took a bus, but still had to walk 20 minutes to get to the starting point. These are not young, agile people and they did just fine with walking and getting in. They went with the ship's group and numbered about 100 in their group. Look for other threads on this site and you can find private contractors who will take much smaller groups. Our family snorkeled when last in Belize and absolutely loved it! Some of the best snorkeling we have done.

The Belize River and Mayan Ruins is another nice excursion....but the teenager would like the cave tubing better I'm sure...Happy Cruising.

Hello! Welcome to Cruise-Chat!

One of the tour companies is "Reggie's". He takes around 13 people and is much cheaper than going through the cruise line. Getting in the water is very easy. You can jump off a rock 10 feet above the water, or just walk in at the bank. The water is crystal clear and about 74 degrees. Your personal items are safely locked in the van you came in. If you do a search, you'll find a lot of posts in reference to cave tubing. I would highly recommend this excursion.
