DSR,
1. No cost to take a look around Atlantis (just be aware that you will not be able to access the water park or the Dig for free). It's a casino - they welcome your attendance AND your money!
2. Takes about 20 minutes to get to Blue Lagoon Island from the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal. Definitely worth it! Inviting hammocks, beach bars with 2-for-1 drinks, cool beach, unlimited water sports, nature walks, stingray and dolphins. Plan to spend the day there.
I agree with Nancy, Is well worth it. You don't want to spend your time looking at a fancy hotel. You got to see the water. I have not been there for a long while, but was my first taste. Go get yourself some Island
These Actions Could Result In A Condition. It Is Called Cruise Addiction.
Symptoms:
You may experience a let down when back on land. You may experience dreams of being on the water and islands. You may have to make your own coffee and Dinner and serve yourself. You may see everyday life as missing something your system has now been exposed to.
Just booked it and can't wait. Do you know anything about the Atlantis vs Blue Lagoon. We are 3 couples that want a nice beach, great bar and lots of fun, any suggestions? PS I thought I heard Blue Lagoon was closed
Thanks

Blue Lagoon is great. I have been there 13 times and it is wonderful. Make sure you leave in time to get back to your ship so look at the schedule of both to make sure you can. The only cost to get to Paradise Island is the taxi ride. There is a toll to be paid and a lot of times the drive will ask you to pay it. Don't worry its only $1 (USD). The aquarium alone is worth the visit and the art there is great also. What ship are you going on? Normally you will not have time to do both (Paradise Island and Blue Lagoon in the same day) and like Island Cruz said it is veryyy addicting to be on a cruise.
hi Ceemonster
We are going on the fascination Nov 17-20 We are arriving early morning and are in Nassau till 5:30 a.m. so we have tons of time. I would like to see the Atlantis just to say I've seen it but I would like to go to a fun beach where we can hang around the beach bar (if there is one). Can you get food as well? and are there bathrooms?? Us women aye? Do they paddleboats or is the water too wavy for something like that?

Sorry that I am just now answering you. Yes there is food (island bbq style ribs, burgers, hot dogs, etc. but they do charge for it because it's a private island but its is only a little money) There are all kids of water toys there. Very nice beaches, lagoons etc. And lots of hammocks!!! The website does state that the beach was closed on march 2006 but here is the website to check things out. You can always check with the cruise line about it. http://www.lovetoeatandtravel.com/Site/Intl/Bahamas/Blu...land/blue_lagoon.htm
