Are the beaches on Nassau close to the dock? Are there several beaches to choose from on Nassau? Is there a charge? Are chairs provided? What do you do with your money, etc while in the water?

No,The best beaches are on Paradise Island.Just get a cab when you go out of the gate and say you want to go to Paradise Island beaches.The ride is around $6 a head.The chairs are around $10
