Well, there is the expensive way ...book a cruise ship beach break/ shopping excursion.. I'm sure they have something where they take you to a beach and then for a little shopping (which you should be warned is typically at shops owned or affiliated with the excusrion company).. Or do it the cheap way and do it yourself. The shopping district is within easy reach of the ship. Then, take a cab to a beach. I have not been to Nassau since 1990, so I realy shouldn't offer up a good beach. Maybe others on this forum will chime in. BUT, I have seen many suggest taking a cab ride over to Alantis and paying for a "day pass" to there resort beach. At least that way you are sure you will have a cab available for the return trip to the ship. Just rememeber to leave plenty of time to get back to the ship before sailing time. I would save the shopping for the second part of you day, that way you are close to the ship if time gets away from you...
