Has anyone tried to get to XCaret on their own from Calica lately? We're going on the Holiday next week, and it no longers offers an XCaret shore excursion. I have a toddler, so I need to be able to get there and back to the ship easily, which would have been possible with the old "bus every ten minutes" shuttle from the pier to XCaret. What is the taxi situation like? Are taxis available at XCaret at all times of the day, or just at peak times? Do you have to call them in advance to schedule a pickup at the park? Is there a private shuttle available at the pier even though the excursion is no longer offered?
