myian ruins in cozumel

Does anyone how far the ruins are from chanacanob park in cozumel. And is it better to do it on our own with a taxi or with a tour. we have been to cozumel 5 times in the past but have never been to the ruins there.

The only ruins I've been to are the Tulum ruins. We had to take a ferry and then a bus. It took us about 2 hours to get there. Chankanaab Park is not far from where we docked the last time we were there, about a 15 minute taxi ride. The only tours I've done have been book through the ships, but there are plenty of posts here on people doing tours on their own. Hope this helps a little.

thanks, we have done the tulum ruins before also. but we are bringing someone with us this time that has never been to the carribean. thought she might like to see some ruins. I noticed on the internet that Cozumel has some and we were going to take her to see them before we head to Chanacanob.

You are referring to the San Gervasio ruins on Cozumel. Not worth it. These are minimal ruins and then there are the mosquitoes. It is not a memorable experience.
