How have Grand Caymen and Cozumel faired this hurricane season; have not kept up with the storms and their impact to know?

So far, so good, but hurricane season isn't over. All we can do is pray they remain out of harm's way.

Leaving on the TRIUMPH on Oct. 13 for the Eastern Caribbean. Am watching the weather now and hoping the hurricans will go somewhere else.
Getting excited and will just trust Carnivale to see that we have a fun time.

Cozumel's fortunes have reversed. 2 years ago, it took a direct hit from Hurricane Wilma for 48 hours, and took heavy damage. A lot of the ships started diverting to Costa Maya, because Cozumel couldn't handle all the capacity and had to use tenders for the ships.

Now Costa Maya took a direct hit from Hurricane Dean, and the ships are going back to Cozumel!

Cozumel is infinitely better than Costa Maya in my view. While I am of course saddened by the destruction at Costa Maya, I have to say I don't really want to go back there again.

I agree with Dave. Was excited to learn our Dec stop there has been replaced with Roatan. We haven't been there yet, but are excited about seeing something new ... and our plans improved cause we were staying on the boat in Costa Maya ... New experiences can't wait.
