Apparently having goofy nicknames is common down there. The taxi driver is known as "Hungry Bird".

Yep, I read the story of the apology. I hope it's not too late. Carnival may be flexing their muscle by pulling Antigua from the Victory's itinerary. I don't know for sure yet.

Well st.Martin is a great please my only hope is they don't bring back Antigua on their itinerary,

I did not enjoy my last visit to Antigua,
last time I took a cruise company tour and the tour guide was very "problematic" and offensive with a few fellow passengers without reason, looking on this situation I can only thank God I had patience on the matter and it was not with us...

It's not the cruise line fault, these people were very stupid. We went there last December and love the place. We can't wait to go back. I hope that they throw the book at them and make them pay big times. All the local's we talk to were very nice.

They should have paid the taxi driver, period. From that article, it seems like they only kept the ones that were acting like idiots. It sounds like the ones that behaved rationally were released. I sure hope they don't judge all tourists by these 6. Antigua might not be St. Barts, but that is no reason to bite and fight and try to skip out without paying. I'm not saying the cab driver was an upstanding citizen either, but he did provide the service. Whether or not he was trying to pull a fast one over on them or not, it sure isn't worth all this for $50 more.
