Ahh.. yes, the mexicans sure know their hot sauces, don't they, Ken? We are ever so grateful for our "*** in the Tub" hot sauce purchase we made while there. It certainly does stand up to its name. Great in a Bloody Mary, I must say.

The buses looked way too rickety for me. You're very brave Ken!

I actually liked Progreso. It was a taste of the real Mexico. And yet to be commercialized port. Granted it is not in the other classification of tourist places, but alot of people seek it out to visit Chichen Itza.

When I went there it was .50 for the bus tour and I enjoyed it. It could have broke down and I would have enjoyed the walk back to the long pier and shopped along the way

My favorite is Cozumel. I just love the island and the people. And the beautiful water ain't bad either

Dwayne, when you put it that way, I guess Progreso is fine. It just didn't excite me the way other ports do. The pier and shops were immaculate. I found the town and market area dirty and a little unsettling. Maybe it was just me and my family who felt this way.

I'm with you on Cozumel. It gets better every time we return there.

Brave or careless? I love my hot pepper sauces. There seems to be no end of unique flavors and subtleties. I am still amazed that there are thousands of labels out there with basically the same ingredients and they all do well.

For locally made salsas, I have a friend who markets her fresh made sauce. It is found in the refrigerator section of grocery stores, called "Salsa Lisa". It must be kept refrigerated because it has never been cooked like most.

I've always enjoyed Cozumel, St John/Thomas, and St. Marteen.
Looking forward to some of the other islands less traveled but mentioned here to add to the favorites list.

Grand Cayman
Labadee
Dominico
SantoCatalina Island (the one in the Caribbean)

San Juan
St. Thomas
Tortola
Turks and Caicos
St. Maartin
St. Barts
St. Kitts
Antigua
St. Lucia
Barbados
Grenada
Margarita Island

As far as visiting myself, not crazy about the Bahamas (except the private islands), Jamaica or Belize City. But even each of these has benefits. Where else but Belize can you see Howler Monkeys? And Dunns River Falls is really cool... once!

How's that for your ststistics research?

Cheers, Neil
Ok Neil, you crack me up

This is one of those outliner answers that get tossed from the analysis.
As far as the analysis goes so far.. I have to conclude it is very guest specific, Cozumel has a slight edge on simply being mentioned the most but is not a runaway. My favorite Port is which ever port my daughter is in at the time, So I get tossed also. But I do like Cozumel.

And to clear up an earlier point. Lets take Caribbean Port to mean any port that is listed on a "Caribbean" Cruise

My Favorite Caribbean Ports: St. Bart's...Incredibly French. Half Moon Cay...just a big bath tub.

Moorea is an incredible port although not in the Caribbean.

If you want to try some great hot sauce. Try the bajan pepper sauce. The only place I can find it is in Barbados. I found a recipe on the internet, it's close, but not like the sauce in Barbados.
