My family of 16 ranging from age 6-age 74 will be on Carnival Destiny on June 24th. Do you know if we can ship about 2 cases of bottle water to our cabin on the cruise in advance?
Thanks much, Tablefor5 |
That would be a No in my humble opinion.

The water on the ship is the best water I have ever tasted, period. Just drink that and worry about having fun, not water.

The way the ships filter the water on board is very comparable to "bottled" water. Don't worry about water on board. Try and catch an episode on Travel Channel about the way ships filter water. It's very enlightening.

It's not worth the hassle...We brought our own water on the Miracle last year and found that it wasn't worth the effort. The ship's water is fine to drink, plus they had bottled water available for purchase to bring ashore while on excursions. I don't remember what they charged, but I remember that it wasn't that expensive at all. So reasonable that we decided that we would not bring our own on future trips...
PS We're on the Destiny 7/1 with an 11 y/o. Please let me know how your trip goes and what you'd recommend since you're traveling with kids as well. |
Dal, I will let you know if I successfully log on while I am on the cruise after our excursion to St. Thomas/Dominica/Barbados.

Only gave the opinion of shipping water.
As far as the ship's water, I don't drink it. I don't like it, and it doesn't like me. So we came to a mutual understanding. I limit my use to ice cubes, and filtered beverages, and brushing my teeth. In exchange it doesn't mess with me http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif |
