Going to Labadee next week for the first time on RC's new "Liberty of the Seas". Can't wait and from all the reviews it sounds beautiful.
I am a little confused about the RC's private island. We want to take the wave runners up and down the coast. Do we have to do the excursions through RC or can we rent them on our own?
Thanks
Good morning, 2andfro. You can by all means rent the jet skis and you may have experience riding them. You will be riding amidst other people, some of whom I am sure have never rode on a jet ski. They are safe when operated correctly but hundreds of people are still killed on personal watercraft every year. Be careful and have a nice space cushion around you so that no contact is made and noone is injured if you or they fall off for some reason. Geez.. I feel like my mother.

Personal Watercraft ("Jet Ski") Accidents
• One out of five reported boat accidents in Florida in 2005 involved personal watercraft, including 11 deaths.
Mind you, that is just for the state of Florida. The statistic that I quoted is a worldwide amount not limited to the confines of U.S. coastal waters.
Ahhhh...the whole world! Just curious, where do you get the stats. I am always looking for stats and it takes me pages and pages to find what I am looking for. I love stats!
