TXFrank, our first snorkel on Champagne Reef was a scene out of an old slap stick comedy. We took a cab, they dropped us off at the top of the mountain. There was no cat walk then, we had to walk down the side of the mountain and across boulders. We got down to the point area, and tried to get into the water. The waves kept smashing us into the boulders. We made it into the water, finally, and snorkeled for about an hour. Then had to make the trek back up to meet the taxi driver. He then took us to Trafalga Falls and the Emerald Pool. I stayed up at the look out tower, I had had my fill of climbing up and down boulders for the day. Our next trips back to Dominica, we've taken the boat to snorkel. They have built the cat walk since the first time we were there, but I don't want to chance the smashing into the boulders again
