Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are going on our first cruise. She currently holds a Taiwanese passport and my is from the USA. I have tried to get information from the cruise lines( with out luck ) regarding if she needs any special visa for cruise visits ( less than 24hrs)

They send me off to the individual consulates where I have been trapped in dial 5 for English and doublespeak. Can anyone enlighten me ? Ports would be Princess Cays. Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel .. Thanks !

Caleti,

welcome to Cruise-Chat.com.

I would recommend not contacting the various consulates of the destinations you plan to visit but a Taiwanese consulate or embassy, which should be able to provide you with the necessary information.

Hi! Caleti:
Originally I have the same question as you since my relatives from Taiwan would also go wiht my family. Got the exact same respone when calling the cruise-line...even ask around AAA travel agent + other agent, all saying different thing.. But then I called a Chinese travell agent ( which located in LA area), they handle a lot of this kind of case... the lady said as long as the foreign passport has multiple entry visa issued by US and as long as the visa is still valid on the last day of the cruise when one is reentry into US, then it would be fine.. The travel agent is SunShine Toure, the lady name is "Ivory".. you can double confirm again..

I wouldn't even ask about, or worry about, the ports you will be visiting since all that will be needed to re-board the ship in those places will be your cruise card and possibly photo id. The main concern will be to check on boarding the ship and re-entry thru US customs upon your return.
