The Caribe Hilton is open to the public in a sense, that it has three restaurants and several bars. It's not far from the Old San Juan piers, and even closer from the Pan American Pier across from Old San Juan. You'll have to take a taxi. When you get there, just walk through the enterance area. You will see some glass doors leading out to the pool and ocean area. No one has ever asked us if we were guests at the hotel. We just walked in like we were guests. There is no charge except for food and drinks, and they're not cheap. We stayed in the Normandie Hotel next door to the Caribe in February, and used the Caribe area for two days. One night we did have dinner at the Lemon Grass restaurant in the Caribe (5 star). The Caribe is a great place to relax, see for yourself. Click
