My teenage daughter and I will be in Grand Caymen in just over a week. The summer before last we took a tour of the island which was interesting, but would like to do something different this year.

The beach is always an option..with enough time for lunch and maybe para-sailing. I would like to hear any other suggestions based on your past trips. Thanks!

If you haven't done Stingray City, that is a definite must see. I love 7 mile beach. I have heard some good reviews on Rum Point, but have not personally been there. I've done some great snorkeling trips there as well.

Capatain Brian has a 50 foot catamaran and will take you to Sting Ray City and to The Gardens (reef snorkeling) 1/2 day trip is very reasonable. You get off ship and walk to his office where they bus you to the boat.
Great Time ! Afternoon you can spend on 7 mile beach.

We did a jeep tour booked through RCCL. There were 5 jeeps (you get to drive) that were lead by a tour guide. Lots of fun. Visited Hell, Rum Point and one other place. Then we had about 1 hour at a beach (which I believe was 7 Mile but not sure) which was gorgeous!

I have also used captain Ron--walking distance from cruise/tender port, Moby Dick's gets good reviews, and if you use a search function on this site you will get quite a few recommendations for Captain Marvins. These are all snorkeling/sting ray city combinations as far as I know, and very reputable. You don't stay in business if your patrons miss the ship. They will cost a fraction of what the ship's tours will cost, but far and away the largest gain is in having much much smaller groups. I personally have also used Ebanks watersports. They have a nice website and I can't say enough good about them--everything was clean, well maintained, and guides are co-owners or close relatives of the owners and as such have a very vested interest in getting you to come back again and tell your friends.
