I read that one of the excursions offered is to visit "Malfini Beach" in Labradee. I was wondering if anybody can provide some advice on wether it would be worth spending the money to sign up for it. The cruise line makes it sound so amazing.

Don't passenger get to lie on the beach and enjoy the waters in Labradee without having to pay for the extra excursions?

Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

We're on Mariner of the Seas in November and nothing but beach time is offered in Labadee. Only able to rent the floating mats, which we won't do. We are bringing our own blow up rafts. They don't take much to blow up and it will save us $30. I got them for $1.99 ea. x 3. I'd rather save that money and spend it on something else.

Labadee is a beach and poart island experience. We were there in Jan and there is food provided, beach on both sides and a tractor pulled trolly free to see the island or to go to different parts of the beach area. There is a straw market and be prepared to haggle, the Haiti people are a little agressive. Bring cash to the beach for trinkets. Easier to haggle with green. We just pulled up beach chairs and sunned and slept and drank Coco Loco's. You can rent a mat there is you want, but be ware that if a storm comes in before you get there, the water will be murky and not much fun to get into. The opposite side of the island is too rough to get into. Fun to walk the beach though and tons of shells to be had. Enjoy!
