My daughter will bedeparting from New Orleans and is concerned with lleaving her vehicle with New Orleans crime rate. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

If she is insured and uses a secure parking facility she can forget her worries and enjoy her cruise. By the way, welcome to cruise chat!

The new terminal has parking just for cruisers literally on TOP of where you check in.

We have cruised out of New Orleans for years without a problem and their crime has always been bad. Most people do not realize that just before Katrina hit (when the Conquest and Sensation was cruising out of there) the nurder rate in New Orleans was 10 times the national average. So crime in New Orleans (as with any big city) really is not nothing new.

Can things happen? of course...but it can happen anywhere.

Park at the terminal ($14.00 a day) and relax!!

We did it in December and will be doing it again in 15 days!!!

As LHP has stated, the new Erato Street Terminal has a parking garage for cruisers only
