Need to know where to go on St. Marteen. Please help ASAP

My wife and I are taking a cruise that is leaving on March 20th via Mariner of the Seas and one stop is St. Marteen. Looking for place to go, see, etc on St. Marteen. Also, do you recommend taking the organized day trips or should we just grab a cab and go???? Please advise, and as you can see we are running out of time. Thanks a bunch to anyone that can offer some advice….

Oppis again, same answer. The tourist information is directly in front of the pier.
They offer different tours between 20 and 30 $. Going to town take a roundtrip ticket for a watertaxi ($ 5) and then you can go by boat as often is you will. For a one-way ticket you pay $ 3. But take first a tour and then go for shopping, because they have so many stores, that you may forget the time, when you like jewels. And the prices are much more better than in the US.

I agree the tourist information center is very helpful. If beach going is in your plans, we have been to Friars Bay beach. It's small and less crowded than some of the others but very pretty. There is a small beach bar with food and beach chair rental. We have also been to Orient Beach. This is a large beach with many food and sales venues. Orient is a well noted clothing optional beach but that is only part of it. When the taxi lets you off at the parking lot, walk to the beach and turn left up the beach for more family oriented or turn right for the CO. We've also heard good things about Maho Beach. This is where the jets fly very close to the ground landing at the airport. Check with the above mentioned tourist desk as to the best times to see the landings. Good prices on jewelry and liquor on St. Martin. How about $5.00 per liter for Stoly vodka, $6.00 for Absolute or $9.00 for Bombay Sapphire Gin.
