Scuba in St Maarten, San Juan or Nassau??

Where island would have the best scuba diving -- St Maarten, San Juan, Nassau Bahamas or St Thomas? My husband wants to scuba at one of these stops on our cruise. Which place would you recommend? What dive operator? He has scuba'd in St Thomas before; how do the other islands compare? Thx.

I have never gone diving in St Maarten or San Juan. I would recommend diving out of St Thomas but go to St John's for diving. Less crowded. I am going to go on a cruise the end of Apr and I will be diving out of St Thomas-I am looking for a dive operator-recommend you look at scubaboard.com for suggestions.
