Playa Mia

I read somewhere that Playa Mia is really a party beach. Should I look for a different beach to take my kids to?

Playa Mia used to be called Playa Sol. We went to Playa Sol many times and it was quite pleasant with many things actually geared towards children, such as a daily pinata contest. Unless they have changed things I wouldn't hesitate going there again. They have a fresh water pool next to the beach, and the whole pool is only around 3 to 4 feet deep. Nice place.

went to playa mia last week. they have activities for kids, water trampoline and other water toys. also available is banana boat and parasailing from thier pier. there were alot of people around with kids. we only stayed for about 3 hours, our kids are 14 and 16.

is there a charge to use Playa Mia beach? Also, I heard Mr. Sancho's Beach and Paradise Beach were good. Any thoughts? Have 4 children ages 9,12,15,18. Aren't they all located fairly close to one another. Thanks, Gennine

Playa Mia is very acceptable for children. The small zoo is fun, the pool is excellent and most of all the restroom facilities are very clean. We took our 5 & 7 yr. old grandkids there last year and will return this June.

HI there, I recommend to visit Playa San Francisco, about 5 min before Playa Mia. There is no cover! Chairs, umbrellas and beach floats are free and numeros services available...we thougt is is lot more value than Playa Mia...saludos

By the way, sanchos beach is closed due to the hurricane...
