Question for dave beers

The free booze was at a party that was thrown for the Freedom Of The Seas in Montego Bay last year, when we arrived on the maiden voyage. This is not a normal event. In other words don't expect it if you go there. We also got free soft drinks in Grand Cayman - but I couldn't tell if this was for us or just something they were doing on that day for all ships. I had not encountered it on previous visits to Grand Cayman.

I dont think that was it. You were talking about this place being off on of the ports I believe it was a mexican cruise, then you have to ferry over to a remote island and pay some sort of flat fee or something and you get all the beer you want, or something....

Oh, you mean the Passion Island tour on Cozumel. This is a tour and the price includes an open bar and a rather spartan although adequate lunch buffet. The bar is quite rustic, and bottled drinks are the way to go. At $72 per person for adults, it isn't bad but you are paying for those drinks one way or another. In addition, you can't stay there for as long as you'd like to be there. The tour gives you about 3 hours on the island, and then they gather everyone up and you leave. Only so many beers can be drunk in that time.
