SCUBA: Cozumel vs. Grand Cayman

Can anyone out there comment on whether it would be better to dive in Cozumel or Grand Cayman? I'm not only interested in the the water itself but experiences with dive operators, facilities, etc. Also, has anyone done the "beginning" scuba thing with any of the cruise lines and if so, how was the experience? We'll be cruising the western Carib in Oct of this year and are having trouble making up our minds. Thanks in advance for all of your help!
