San Juan, Puerto Rico in the evening

we took the bacardi tour. the factory was great and how can you beat free drinks. we just tipped the bartender and got about ten drinks a piece. the bus trip to and from was far from stellar. they said that you would get a photo op of the castle but that never happened. the driver mostly spoke of subways, mcdonalds, bed, bath & beyond so on and so forth. we really could not understand his english either. we did go to the casino and won 100,000 pennies or $1000. that was fantastic! so went to dinner at a local place. i took all 11 people in our party and we were able to get a real taste of puerto rican cuisine. i like to ask the locals where to go. they usually have some great ideas and the prices are usually pretty good if the locals are eating there. this is a little tip i got from watching rachel ray's tasty travels. it is a shame that you wont be able to get to the castle b/c that was simply amazing. if you go to the castle around sundown and sit by the cliffs yopu will get to see a beautiful sunset and the pictures are fabulous! have a great time!
