Carnival Excursions in Grand Cayman

Im trying to find out the price of the stingray city and island tour in grand cayman. I think I really want to do it through the ship b/c Im concerned that grand cayman gets canceled alot due to waves and dont want to lose money with independent tour. Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

You don't pay until you actually go on the excursion. I used my credit card to hold my reservation with Captain Marvins and they didn't actually put it on the charge until we showed up.
I see no advantage booking throught the ship.

I wouldn't book anything through the ship. We were at Grand Cayman early this year. There are lots of opportunities to book your excursions right on shore, for a lot less money. People that booked on the ship did a lot of grumbling when they saw the diffeence in price.
