It's about a 10 minute ride up the side of the mountain. All that is up there is the bar/restaurant and a little shopping. It's just a really great place to spend an hour or two having a drink, relaxing, looking at the great view. There might be a little trail you can explore. (I didn't do that, but it seems I remember a little trail). Some people get married in the gazebo up there. You will see all the ships lined up down below in the harbor and be able to look out over the island. It is the view you see alot in photos of St Thomas in brochures. So, it probably isn't something that will be too exciting for children your age. Unless they get to have a Shirley Temple drink.
