Dolphin Encounter

Is there anyway of doing the Dolphin Swim Encounter thru them soley? I email them and they tell me to go thru the cruiseline.

Don't tell them you are on a cruise ship, just say you will be vacationing there.

Make sure you get the swim with the dolphins and not just the encounter. The encounter doesn't let you interact with them, the swim you're actually in the water with them and get to touch them and get a ride. We did this in Cozumel (pre-hurricane) and it was totally awesome!!

Then how do you get to the place, taxi? And did you find it was much cheaper than going thru the cruiseline?

We did our excursion through the ship. If you book directly, then taxi would be the way to travel.

Which island or port offers swimming with the dolphins? I know that the Miami Seaquarium does. I didn't know any of the ports did.

There are quite a few of them, we did ours in Cozumel, there are some in Jamaica, we were going to book one in either Barbados or St. Maarten (can't remember), but they said the dolphins swam away. There are some in Tortola, other Mexican ports, Haiti, etc. Google caribbean dolphin encounter and you'll have 627,000 hits. Best wishes!!
