A nice free Self Walking tour includes walking up the hill to El Morro fort, and then shopping all the way back down to the ship...wear comfortable shoes...it's like climbing a small mountain, but Beautiful...Happy Sailing...

I was in San Juan in a few cruises ago, There are lots of cobble stone streets in the old part of town. I wondered how they plow those in the winter .....

Casanova Frankenstien, I am going to be in San Juan in Feb. Our ship doesn't get there until 5pm, will there be anything open for shopping and site seeing at that hour. Do you have any good suggestions for things to do during the evening like shows or resturants? I have heard it is not a good idea to wander the streets after dark. We will have a group of about 14 so I'm not to worried about walking around town. What do you think?

Ok here my advice first which day of the week will you be arriving?? sunday is the only day that you cannot shop after 5 pm the other days the stores opens until 7 or 9 pm depending on the store

As for wandering the streets during night not recomended but you can use
your best instincts so just not go alone at night you can always use a taxi is better and safer
Just let me know which day of the week you will be visiting us and I will let you know what to do or where to go in sn juan fell free to send me a private messenge if you need more info
