Aquarium at Atlantis

I have read somewhere that at the Aquarium at Atlantis, the guards leave at 6:00 and you can tour for free after they are gone, is this true?? Has anyone done this before?? Also, do they really close everything down at 6:00 all over Nassau?? What party poopers!!

I have also read that during the summer months when the sun sets later you can find guards there as late as 8pm. hopfully someone who really knows will respond.

We have been there twice.

The first time we picked up the tickets at the kiosk and took the official tour.

However, the second time we were there at 7AM and the kiosk did not open until 8AM. So we just walked around the aquarium on our own. We walked all the way through it. Opened doors where necessary and spent about 2 hours walking around. No one said a word.

Sadly, I do not remember how late they stayed open. The hours are listed at the kiosk.

thanks LHP. so it was worth a second visit? did you feel that paid admission was more beneficial?

SnoopGirl. I went to the Aquarium at Atlantis. We did not purchase tickets, we just took a look from the restaurant inside.
However, outside, they take security very seriously. We were blocked from going certain routes which were only for the guest. And the security guards stay at their posts. They are very pleasant however...when you veer off course

It was worth a second visit to us at the time because it was free. I don't know that I would have paid to take the tour a second time.

Our youngest son is autistic and LOVES aquariums. So it is always a treat to get to visit one.

There is a lot of the property that you can see on your own. Security never bothered us. We walked around...opened doors...etc without question. But then again, it was early in the morning...from 7ishAM to about 9:30AM.
