Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there is good snorkeling off the beach or do you need to take a tour to see any activity with marine life

I can't say it was good snorkeling, cable is more of a play in the water beach. You can snorkel, but you'll need to go over by the Atlantis side and still won't see a whole lot, but it's ok. I really haven't done any good snorkeling in Nassau, Grand Turk on the other hand was very good.
