Jamaica - what to do safely and economically!!!

Give me some ideas on what to safely and economically while in port for the day in July '06. I hear that Sunset Beach & Resort is good. Any other specific ideas or comments??

Not sure which port you are referring to since there are two which the cruiselines normally visit. A private tour will run you very little money and there are several I've seen recommended, but again it would help to know which port you mean.

Sorry about that. It's Montego Bay. I hear Sunset is all-inclusive for $40.

Sunset Beach and Resort is a good option, but you can have just as good a time at Doctor's Beach for a lot less money. Doctor's Beach is just beyond Margaritaville and you can combine the two for a memorable day. If you want to tour, then I would suggest getting a hold of Trevor Hudlin and having him set up a special tour designed just around what you want to do.

Don't worry though, Trevor lives between Montego Bay and Ocho Rios and knows both areas equally as well.

I would have to agree that Trevor Hudlin would be the best bet to go with while in Jamaica. We did a private tour with him last year while in Jamaica, there were 8 of us....and he made our stay in Jamaica FUN!!
While on our drive to our destination, He was teaching us some of his music from the island, and when our 5 18yr. old boys tried to teach him some of "their" music.....he had us all laughing!!

I just spoke with Sunset Beach and Resort. The Day Pass is $70 pp, children under 12 yrs. is $45.00.

It includes all nonmotorized activities,such as parasailing, snorkeling, eating and drinking in the dining room, bar, buffet.
