going to cozumel for the first time. will i have time to snorkel, any advice ? also anyone heard of the Savoy hotel in Miami ?

Hi gonnahaveagoodtime, welcome to Cruise-Chat. It depends on what you're planning on doing in Cozumel on whether you will have time to snorkel. We've snorkeled in Chankanaab Park, Paradise Beach, 2 catamaran sail/snorkel excursions, and in Xel-ha. The Savoy is a retro hotel on South Beach in Miami. We have not personally stayed there, but it does have good reviews. Hope you have a wonderful cruise and once again welcome aboard!

You didn't mention which cruise you're going on but most ships give you plenty of time to snorkel. My personal favorite is the FURY CATAMARAN. The crew is GREAT...FREE MARGARITAS and beer...great time! Remember that most of the snorkeling in Cozumel was wiped out by the hurricane a few years ago. The Fury also takes you to a private beach for more fun and snorkeling! It's well worth it. We've done it 3 times!!

I agree with PA Steve about the Fury. We've done it twice and had a blast both times. The cool thing about going to the private island is that you can snorkel, float, swim, off road on an ATV (my nephew loved that). The crew is so friendly, take great photos that you can bargain down the price if you decide to buy. How can you beat free beer, margaritas, soda, water and great music to dance to on the trip back to the ship

Well I have to give the Fury a third vote. We had such a good time a few years ago, we are doing it again this year.
