Aruba beach

Going to Aruba on Adventure of the Seas with my wife and 4 kids. Would like to go to just take a taxi to a beach for the day; paying to use a hotel beach ok by me! Any suggestions?

JW when are you going? We leave San Juan on Sunday the 9th.....can't wait. That's what we are looking to do in Aruba also - sit on the beach!

The following Sunday 4/17. If I don't get an answer here, I'll get a guidebook this weekend and see what I can find. I'd like to find a beach to relax on for the day both in Aruba and Curacao! Looking forward to the cruise. JW

Eagle Beach is just north of town in the hotel/resort area and a pretty nice option for a family. There is also a small beach club 1/2 mile south of the port (and depending on the ages of the kids, within walking distance) called Havana Beach Club. there is no charge for the beach chairs or the use of the beach and they have a small pool and nice restaurant/bar that makes for a great day.

Eagle Beach is very nice and there are plenty of public beach areas.

You may want to consider renting a car. We did this on Aruba and enjoyed exploring the island in addition to going to the beach.

You can pick up a rental car right at the port and it is a very easy island to drive on.

JW. The cruise ship terminal in Aruba is very organised and secure. The taxis do not have meters but have regulated fares. The fares are posted outside the terminal. It cost $10 from the terminal to the high rise hotels. They are on Palm beach and it is beautiful. We spent a few hours on the beach then used a hotel phone to call a cab back to the ship.

That's what we did after we did the morning tour and ate lunch. Had a Geo Tracker for the rest of the day. Had plenty of time to explore whole island. Best $60 we ever spent.
