WHO HAS BEEN TO THE BAHAMAS?

In the Bahamas there is a hotel that you can stay at and still get the perks of Atlantis.Does anyone know the name and have you stayed there? Could I go alone with my 11 year old son and be safe? I am not scared to travel alone most anywhere so if you have some ideas or opinions please share. Do you think Atlantis is worth the money? I was originaly thinking about Turks and cacois but the beaches resort was so expensive!!! I just want to spend a few nights on a island but don't break the pocket book.

Yes, the price is worth it. There are plenty of hotels on Paradise Island. I stayed there by myself and felt totally safe. I stayed at Merv Griffith's hotel. If you don't stay at the Atlantis, they charge you to use their facilities. Paradise Island is really close to its name. The beaches are great, the resorts are beautiful, the casinos were fun, the food was fantastic. Of course, this is a cruise board, so why not take a cruise? This way you can visit a couple of the islands and see if you'd like to spend some time there.

They may be other Hotels that include Atlantis "perks". I only know of this one.

I've never had a safety problem on Paradise Island. I've only been there during cruise visits though. And, I have only been robbed by the one arm bandits at Atlantis so far.
