I was hoping some one would know how far ocho rios is from ganja mountain. Also any suggestions on how to score some ganja while in jamacia and not get arrested

Only a complete idiot would even try. Even if you got it aboard the ship you would get busted when you disembarked.

As I recall, the Jamaican police have a checkpoint at the pier which all passengers go through before getting to the ship. They search things. They may also have a drug sniffing dog. I imagine a Jamaican jail is not a fun place.

I can just imagine. I was once on a cruise and grabbed a taxi from Miami to Ft. Lauderdale. We were only a mile or so when the taxi in front of us was pulled over by an obvious sting operation. There were poiice cars coming from every direction. It turned out that it was a drug bust.

All of the luggage is worked by dogs and when drugs are found, the luggage is allowed to be removed from the terminal and the bust doesn't take place until the carrier is far removed from the cruise terminal. I am not sure if it is for legal reasons, or just the convenience and safety of the other passengers, but it was an overwhelming experience.

I am sure that the guy thought he had it made when he walked out of the terminal and climbed into a taxi.

From what I have heard the Jamaican police operate their own stings. You may think you are buying ganja from some "rasta mon" but it will turn out to be n undercover Jamaican cop.

I would think a visit to a Jamaican jail no matter how short would be rather unpleasant.

I didnt explain myself completly I only want to enjoy the stuff on the island I wouldnt bring it on the ship. Also does anyone know how far ganja mountain is

thank you larry thats what i have been reading that there are alot of stings. If anyone has had any luck with it let me know
