My cruise is fast approaching (less than a month), and am wondering if any of you have been to Paradise Beach in Cozumel.
If so, what were your impressions? I was looking on their site, and was thinking about doing the $12 fun pass, or whatever it is they call it. In addition to that, anyone know how the snorkeling is there, and is there parasailing available, even though that's probably an additional cost?

HI MCPayne. Wife and I have gone to Paradise Beach twice and will probably be going again next year. It is a super clean, well managed beach with great food and drink. I did the arm band ($12) for unlimited access to all the beach toys. The snorkeling isn't very good there, unless you go farther out, but still a few fish and clear water. We go for the relaxation and super service. There are always some really nice beach waiters who will take care of your orders, and we always stake out a place under one of the umbrellas and stay there all day. Try the Cozumel fish sandwich....grilled Mahi-Mahi.....yummy! Have fun!
MCPayne, we've done both Paradise and Chankanaab. For snorkeling, Chankanaab is better. Paradise is great for chilling, drinking, and eating. They do have water toys, but the snorkeling isn't that great. Chankanaab has toys, good snorkeling, and the dolphins. It's a little closer to the pier, but not much. The price has gone up though. We were there in May and they charged us $19/pp. I forgot to print a coupon off before we left. They're both great places.
We have been to Paradise twice and the last time we went next door to San Fransico Beach. It is right next to Paradise and has a swimming pool. We had drinks and ate there and still bought the wrist bands for Paradise. We enjoyed also having the use of a pool. The food was also good.
Have only been to Paradise Beach and Chankanaab Park. I like Paradise Beach, it is exceptionally clean and the staff and food are awesome. It is not very good for snorkeling though as Penny noted. If you've never been to Chankanaab Park I recommend you go at least once. It is an amazing place.
