St. Thomas Excursion?

Interested in St. Thomas Skywalk. If I book thru Carnival charge is 15.00 pp if book thru St. Thomas Skywalk website, charge is 21.00 pp. Anyone know why ship's rate for the excursion is cheaper? Is it the same excursion? Is one better than the other?

It is the same excursion, as far as I know. That seems very strange, but sometimes ship's excursions are less expensive. Had we taken the ship's excursion to Pigeon Island in St. Lucia, we would have saved about $100. It pays to shop around, sometimes, but most of the time, the ship's excursions are pretty reasonable. If you know the port well, you probably know less expensive ways of getting to/from your destination. If not, you can get taken by locals.

Thank you for the info. I like you think it is strange that the ship's skywalk is cheaper. Great! In this case I will book thru the ship.
