Has anyone been to Nachi Cocom? Is it still there?

We went to the Nachi Cocum resort while in Cozumel, and we booked it thru;
Island Marketing Ltd.
Check them out on the internet, they are a very reputable outfit that offers excursions in many ports. However, it looks as though they are substituting another beach break in Cozumel, the Nachi Cocum seems to have had alot of damage from the hurricane. I think you will enjoy whatever you book thru Island Marketing, they have not let us down and we book all our excursions thru them.
Nachi Cocum was nice, but the beach resort that they are substituting the Nachi with looks very nice also. You will find lots of pictures online also @ cozumelcruiseexcursions.com

Nachi Cocum was severly damaged during the huricane, and at this time there are no plans for it to reopen.

I heard from cozumelcruiseexcursions.com that they may be reopenning this summer. I hope so as I loved the place too

Nachi-Cocom was closed by the authorities BEFORE the hurricane arrived for alleged environmental damage. It was damaged by the storm as well and has not re-opened since. There have been constant rumours that it may re-open, but I've been past recently and it looked a long way from being ready still.

There are still plenty of other great beaches to chose from though - you can find some good information on this Cozumel news website - scroll down to the Beach Club Update on 17 March.
